There is new hope

If you watched President Obamas inauguration speech, you know exactly what I mean. It was very moving and inspiring.  I am also very happy that the kids got to watch it in school as well. This is history. Like the president said, 40 years ago, he and his family wouldn’t be allowed to eat in alot of resturants, let alone be sworn in as president. My darling kiddos don’t see the signifigance of the situation though.  They were brought up (thankfully) in a different time and place than I was, and it’s made  a big difference in their perception of things around them. Which means that even though I was fighting their father (the ex, thank the heavens) I have succeeded in raising decent human beings.
